so i had to submit an abstract for my grad student seminar talk this week and because I know no one actually reads them i decided to sneak a sentence about that into the middle of it and see if anyone noticed. i expected that the social chair who organizes the talks would notice and remove it, or if not the admin assistant who actually makes the fliers, but she just sent out the fliers and lo and behold:

so like, either multiple people just straight up didn’t read what I submitted or literally no one in this department gives a shit, and I don’t know which one is funnier to me
